The front and back pieces are knit from side to side. The body stitch pattern includes an eyelet mesh along one edge for the neckline, a stockinette stitch pattern in the center, and wavy lace along the other edge for the hem. The shoulders are seamed, and then the sleeves are picked up and worked outwards from the body.
